Wise words

No catch-up post today, just a great quote from the novel I'm reading - 'A Dry White Season' by Andre Brink, which is awesome:

"There are only two kinds of madness one should guard against, Ben. One is the belief that we can do everything. The other is the belief that we can do nothing."

-- Prof Phil Bruwer

It's not exactly original or revolutionary, but it touched me because it's so true, and it says it so well and so clearly. A motto for activists everywhere. Amen to that.

Huzzah indeedy. Have you noticed that when you're away us faithful commenters are (kinda) here but when you're back only I'm here?
My conclusion is this: only I am sad enough to be around whether you're here or not.
Poo.

Once again, a comment from... me.
And only me, so it seems.
I'm in Year 10 now by the way.
I've got Mrs Mann's replacement for History but I haven't met her yet.
My dad thinks your ridiculous signs aren't (the Stratford-upon-Avon ones with Mark).
This is typical of him.

Not even that!
He mumbled some incomprehensible comment about keeping the animals in which doesn't really make much sense.
I gave up after that.
Sigh.

Oh, I see - the animals read the sign, and they don't dare try to break through the fence! Ingenious.

Me again.
Huzzah.
Christine (though you're probably not even reading this), you have good reason to be proud of me on two counts.
1. I have spread the Travisyness today. I have made sure that everyone(within reason i.e. not including teachers and complete strangers) I have come across today has got 'Why Does It Always Rain On Me?' in their head.
2. And I've ordered a load of stuff for Protect The Human week from Amnesty. I'm selling raffle tickets, badges, stickers and balloons and all sorts.
YAY!
But you're not here so you can't be proud of me. *guilt inducing sob*
